For brands · France → USA
Perfume & cosmetics fulfillment to the USA — dangerous goods handled.
Your Shopify orders shipped from France to US customers in 1 business day, limited-quantity / ID8000 compliant, duties prepaid. Aerosols excluded at launch.
The problem
Perfume is the product every carrier would rather not touch.
Generalist 3PLs refuse it
Perfume and eau de toilette are class 3 flammable liquids. Most fulfillment warehouses either decline them outright or add a dangerous-goods surcharge that kills the margin on a 50 ml bottle.
Carriers block flammable liquids
Sent as ordinary merchandise, a perfume parcel is stopped at the hub, returned, or destroyed. Shipping it legally by air means limited-quantity packaging, the right declaration on the label, and a carrier contract that allows it.
Your US customers give up at checkout
No US shipping option, or a €60 line with duties collected at the door: the customer who found you on Instagram closes the tab. The demand exists; the shipping is what's missing.
What we do
One warehouse in France, built around one product family.
Receiving & photo QC
Every unit counted and photographed on arrival; discrepancies flagged before they become a customer complaint.
Storage
Ambient storage in Commercy, France, per-unit billing, one month included with each intake.
Pick & pack, your way
Your box, your tissue, your card. We pack to air limited-quantity rules without making it look like a hazmat crate.
FedEx with DG declarations
Perfume and eau de toilette leave under limited-quantity / ID8000 consumer-commodity rules on our negotiated FedEx account, with the declaration prepared by us.
Customs documents & DDP
Commercial invoice, HS codes and US duties estimated and prepaid per shipment. Nothing collected at the door, nothing stuck at customs.
Returns to a French address
US customers return to us. We receive, photograph, and restock or hold — you keep a domestic return address without a US entity.
How it works
Four steps, then it runs.
Connect your store
Shopify integration first; CSV import/export for WooCommerce and PrestaShop.
Send us stock
One pallet or ten cartons to Commercy. We receive, count and photograph.
We ship next business day
Orders imported, picked, packed, declared and handed to FedEx.
Tracking & invoices in your dashboard
Tracking pushed back to your store; one monthly invoice, per-line detail.

- Japan
Dangerous-goods thresholds, customs paperwork and duty regimes differ for each destination, so we quote these per country rather than publish a grid.

Questions
Fulfillment FAQ
Do you accept aerosols?
Not for now. Pressurised containers — sprays, deodorant cans, hairspray, dry shampoo — need a separate dangerous-goods contract and packaging we don't run yet. Perfume and eau de toilette in glass or plastic bottles are accepted; aerosols are refused at launch, exactly as on our prohibited-items page for individuals.
How much perfume can go in one parcel?
Perfume is a class 3 flammable liquid. We ship it under FedEx's limited-quantity and ID8000 'consumer commodity' rules, which cap the volume per inner bottle and per outer parcel. Bottles up to 250 ml are accepted on our account; above that, tell us the format and we check it before quoting. When an order would push a box past the limit we split it across parcels rather than risk it.
Who pays US duties?
Your customer, upfront, inside the price they see at checkout — or you, if you prefer to absorb them. Either way the parcel ships DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): duties and taxes are estimated from the declared value and prepaid, so nothing is collected at the customer's door and nothing is abandoned at customs.
How does a return work?
Your US customer ships the item back to a French address — ours. We receive it, photograph it, log it against the original order in your dashboard, and either restock it or hold it for your instructions. You handle the refund in your own store; we handle the box.
Do I need my own FedEx account?
No. Shipments leave on our negotiated FedEx account, with the dangerous-goods declarations and the commercial invoice prepared by us. If you already have a FedEx account and want to keep it, we can discuss it, but it isn't required.
Does it work with WooCommerce or PrestaShop?
Shopify is integrated first: orders flow in, tracking flows back. For WooCommerce and PrestaShop we start with a CSV order import and tracking export, and build the direct integration if your volume justifies it. Tell us your platform in the quote form.
How long does onboarding take?
Typically one to two weeks from a signed quote: we connect your store, you ship a first stock to Commercy, we receive and photograph it, and orders start leaving the next business day. No minimum volume in the first year.
Which countries can you ship to?
The USA is the standard lane with indicative rates on this page. Canada, the UK, Switzerland, the UAE and Japan are quoted case by case: dangerous-goods rules and customs paperwork differ for each, so we price them per destination rather than publish a grid.

Why us
Small, specialised, already flying perfume.
VoilaShip forwards French purchases to US customers by FedEx from its warehouse in Commercy, France — perfume included, declared and packed to air limited-quantity rules on a carrier account cleared for dangerous goods. Generalist 3PLs decline them or add a surcharge; large forwarders ignore brands under 500 orders a month. We're built for exactly that gap, and we're small enough to answer the phone.
